This iOS Trick Allows You To Change App Folders From Rounded Rectangles To Circles
I have been using an iPhone as my primary smartphone since 2009 and sometimes I get bored looking at the same user interface day in and day out. That is why I constantly tinker with different iOS settings like “Button Shapes,” “Bold Text,” “Reduce Transparency” and “Darken Colors.” I was thrilled when Apple AAPL -0.52% released iOS 4 in 2010 because the ability to create app folders was introduced. But if you are as bored of looking at the same old rectangular-shaped app folders as I am now, then you may be interested in a trick discovered by PhoneArena that allows you to turn them into circles.

How does it work? For this trick to work, your iPhone will need to be running on iOS 9.3 or above. And all you have to do is change your iPhone wallpaper to a 3×3 pixel image. Here are detailed steps that you can follow to change your app folders into circles:
Step 1:
Go to Settings > Accessibility > Increase Contrast > Make sure Reduce Transparency is turned off.

Step 2:
Next you will have to download some 3×3 pixel wallpapers. I suggest going to http://imgur.com/a/cxlPf on your iPhone and saving wallpapers from that link. Once you find a wallpaper color that you like, long-press down on it and save the image. If you have an iPhone 6S or iPhone 6S Plus, then you will need to make sure that you do not Peek and Pop the image using 3D Touch.

Step 3:
From there, you will need to set the image you just saved as the wallpaper. This is done by going to Settings > Wallpaper > Choose A New Wallpaper > Camera Roll. Then change the wallpaper to the image that you saved from Imgur. The wallpaper can be set as “Still” or “Perspective.”

Step 4:
When you go back to the Home screen, you will notice that some of the rounded rectangle app folders have been turned into circles. However, there are some folders that will not be changed. You can change all the folders back to the rounded rectangular shape by simply switching to a normal-sized wallpaper again. Keep in mind that Apple may fix this glitch in a future version of iOS so you may want to try out this trick sooner than later.
